Course Description

Overview of renewable electrical energy sources and technologies for the energy storage. Models of renewable energy conversion systems. Individual control of renewable energy conversion systems - classic and advanced control methods, with emphasis on sun and wind energy converters control. Approaches to renewable energy modelling - wind energy and sun energy. Modelling and control of systems for energy storage: batteries and hydrogen-based storage system with employed electrolyzer and fuel cells stack. Microgrids control methods and hierarchical interconnection with advanced load management.
