Course Description

Introductory considerations on autonomous systems: definitions, implementations, control structures, examples, applications. Advanced methods of perception and modeling of the environment and self-localization of an autonomous system based on the environment models. Simultaneous modeling of the environment and self-localization of the system. Trajectory planning and tracking for mobile robots. Collision detection and obstacle avoidance. Environment exploration and complete coverage. Motion planning approaches for high-dimensional robots.
