Biomedical sensors and transducers. Bioelectric potential amplifiers. Electromagnetic interference suppression techniques. Electrocardiographs and electroencephalographs. Blood pressure, flow and other cardiovascular measurements and devices. Biological impedance measurement. Respiratory system and its measurement. Intensive and coronary care units. Pacemakers and defibrilators. Electrosurgical devices. Lasers in medicine. Medical imaging equipment. Radiology. Nuclear medicine. Medical ultrasound. Magnetic resonance imaging.

- Measure, record, display and analyze different types of bioelectric potentials and biomedical signals
- Describe the measuring chain of devices for measuring bioelectric potentials: electrodes, sensors, amplifiers, computer interface
- Present the principles of work and describe the application of medical diagnostic devices
- Present the principles of work and describe the application of medical therapeutic devices
- Connect the basic principles of safety of medical devices with the physiological and anatomical properties of tissues and organs

- Lectures: Bioamplifiers in the ECG, EEG, Recording systems, Artefacts and electromagnetic interference, Sensing, conditioning, processing and analysis methods for designing the BMI
- Lectures: Blood pressure, sound, flow and volume of blood, respiration sensors, Clinical applications
- Lectures: Physiological effects of electricity, Macro and microshock hazards, Risk analysis and groups, Safe equipment design
