9th Croatian Computer Vision Workshop
(CCVW 2021)

October 20, 2021, Zagreb, Croatia

Call for Papers

The 9th Croatian Computer Vision Workshop (CCVW 2021) will take place at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, Zagreb, Croatia, on October 20, 2021. With respect to the Covid-19 pandemic, CCVW 2021 will be organized as a hybrid event so both physical and virtual attendance is possible. However, note that a shift to the online only format may be required due to epidemiological conditions at the time of the workshop.

The Workshop will bring together researchers and practitioners in the area of computer vision and image understanding. The aim of the workshop is to foster interaction of researchers, exchange of new ideas, and to enhance communication between academia and industry.

The scientific program of the Workshop consists of invited lecture(s) and of regular papers which will be presented either orally or as posters and includes an industry session aimed at strengthening relations between academia and industry. A student poster or oral session may also be organized to showcase the work of undergraduate and graduate students.

Prospective authors are invited to submit their manuscripts reporting original work.

Prospective participants from the industry are invited to participate in the industry session.

Workshop Topics

  • 2D and 3D Imaging Sensors
  • Motion and Tracking
  • Structure from Motion (SfM, SLAM)
  • Shape from X
  • Segmentation and Grouping
  • Machine Learning
  • Neural Networks
  • Biologically-Inspired Vision
  • Object Detection, Recognition and Categorization
  • Video Analysis and Event Recognition
  • Face and Gesture Analysis
  • Illumination and Reflectance Modeling
  • Computational Imaging
  • Medical Image Analysis
  • Big Data in Computer Vision
  • Applications

Publications

The workshop publications are the Proceedings of Croatian Computer Vision Workshop and an abstract book.

The Proceedings are published online and contain papers representing original previously unpublished work that are accepted for the Workshop.

Student Poster Session

Both undergraduate and graduate students are invited to submit their manuscripts for inclusion in the student session.

Author Information

Two types of contributions will be considered for inclusion in the program:

  1. Research papers reporting original unpublished work. These submissions undergo an international peer-review process. Only accepted papers will be presented at the Workshop and will be published in the online Proceedings of the Croatian Computer Vision Workshop.

Two categories of original papers will be accepted: type 1A are regular research papers and type 1B are papers whose first author is a student.

  2. Industry overviews, presentation of industrial projects, research group overviews, project activity reports, presentation of relevant work published elswhere, and any other relevant information. These submissions do not undergo a peer-review process; instead the Workshop chairs will select the most relevant submissions to be presented at the Workshop. Submissions of these type are included in the abstract book but are NOT included in the Proceedings; nevertheless they are a valuable part of the Workshop's program.

The authors will be asked to indicate the type of their submission in the online submission system.

Submitted research papers reporting original unpublished work (type 1) have no page limit, but the sumbission PDF file must not exceed 10MB in size. Please note that papers have to be reviewed in limited time so the expected number of pages is around six A4 pages. Submitted papers should follow the IEEE conference proceedings templates (http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html) for double column A4 paper size.

Authors of accepted papers are required to register and present the papers.
