Admission to a Ph.D. programme requires the prospective student to have completed the second-cycle programmes in related fields with sufficiently high grades and proven research ability, as follows: Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Master of Science in Information and Communication Technology, or Master of Science in Computing, or other electrical engineering and/or computing studies. The field and branch/direction of the second-cycle study programmes or former diploma study (5 years) do not limit applicants in choosing the field of postgraduate study. Applicants will be expected to acquire additional knowledge on their own, if necessary.
Applicants who have completed other relevant second-cycle programmes will be required to pass differential exams. Other second-cycle programmes relevant for admission to the postgraduate doctoral study are mathematics, physics and informatics.
The student submits an application package including a research proposal, transcripts and letters of reference.
