From April 3rd to 6th 2017 Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing will host an international workshop "Modern challenges in continuum mechanics". The workshop will bring together researchers working in related fields of continuum mechanics: fluid mechanics, fluid-structure interaction problems, elasticity, plasticity, multi-component mixtures, scaling laws, multi-scale problems, homogenization and stochastic homogenization, etc. Program of the workshop consists of mini-courses, invited talks and short oral poster presentations intended for young researchers. The workshop will be organized in course of the project "Mathematical Analysis of Multi-Physics Problems Involving Thin and Composite Structures and Fluids" (HRZZ 9477), under auspices of the Croatian Science Foundation (HRZZ) and the Foundation of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts (Zaklada HAZU). Detailed information about the workshop can be found on webpage: http://www.fer.unizg.hr/mampit/events/workshop.

Those who want to attend the workshop are kindly asked to register by sending an e-mail to mario.bukal@fer.hr by Wednesday, March 29, 2017.
