Course Description

Three-winding transformer. Autotransformer (three-winding operation, neutral earthing, protection). Stabilizing and tertiary winding. Magnetic leakage field and stray losses (calculation methods, local overheating, ways of stray loss control and reduction). New magnetic materials (properties and influence on transformer). Transformer noise (origins and methods for reduction). Transformer interaction with the network.
