All teaching activities in the course will be held on English. This level includes courses with multiple groups (i.e., all teaching will be held strictly in Croatian for Croatian groups, and strictly in English for English groups).
Description:
Baseband spectrum spreading, spread-spectrum characteristics, interference and jamming margin. Processing gain, direct-sequence spread-spectrum systems (DSSS). Characteristics and generation of PN sequences. Despreading, matched filters, noncoherent systems. Narrowband jamming. Code synchronization problems, acquisition of sequences and code tracking. Code-Division Multiple Access and WCDMA. Spread Spectrum Systems as a base of physical layer 3G mobile communication systems. Spreading sequences for DS/CDMA. Sequences with small cross-correlations. Rake receiver. Slow and fast frequency hopping systems. Detection of Direct-Sequence and Frequency-Hopping signals.
