Course Description

Real time interactive simulation specifications, requirements and system design. Parallelization of complex real time simulation problems using decomposition and partitioning. Verification and validation of embedded real-time computer control systems. Man-in-the-Loop interactive simulations. Virtual reality and affective computing in simulators: intelligent stimuli and scenes generators; multimodal evaluation of cognitive and emotional capabilities; psychophysiology, voice, body movements and facial expression fusion. Virtual reality and stress management, stress inoculation and mental capabilities training. Examples: flight simulators, driving simulators, etc.
