Course Description

Properties and models of silicon MOS and gallium-arsenide (GaAs) transistors. Bias circuits, active loads, constant current and voltage sources. Feedback and high speed amplifiers, high frequency and dynamic range amplifiers. LC and ring oscillators. Frequency dividers. Measurement of frequency and dynamic characteristics. Layout design rules, design verification. Design of a simple analogue or digital integrated circuit.
