Data warehouse - definition and characteristics. The process of building a data warehouse. Conceptual multidimensional data model. Conceptual design of data warehouses. Logical multidimensional data model. Logical design of data warehouses. The process of data extraction from sources, data transformation and its loading into the warehouse. Data warehouse design from XML sources, case studies.
