Client/server model. The Peer-to Peer model. Remote Procedure Call model. Distributed objects models and invocations. Socket API. Object oriented distributed systems and CORBA architecture. CORBA services. Comparison of CORBA with other architectures. Software for distributed environment. Distributed information systems for business applications and network management. The large distributed systems. The service oriented architecture (SOA).
