Description:

Operational problems (faults and disturbances) in synchronous generator operation. Internal faults. Asymmetrical loadings and asynchronous operation. Development trends in the relay protection of generators. Local man - relay interfaces. Communication at the block and power plant levels. Sources of disturbances and protective measures. Selecting instrument transformers. Selection of a generator's relay protection and step-up transformers. System for automatic disconnection of power systems.
